WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to stop using Omzer infant swings immediately due to serious safety risks, including the potential for suffocation and injury.
The remote controls that come with the swings also violate federal safety rules. Each remote contains a lithium coin battery, but the product does not have the warning labels required by Reese’s Law. These batteries can be deadly if swallowed, especially by young children, as they can cause internal burns or other serious injuries.
About 1,075 of the swings were sold on Amazon.com between March 2024 and March 2025, priced between $64 and $200. The swings were manufactured in China and are labeled “Baby Swing for Infants” with model number OMZ-BS01 on the bottom of the seat.
The seller, Guangzhou Qidian Information Technology Co. Ltd., operating as Omzerus, has not agreed to a recall or to offer any remedy to customers. CPSC has issued a formal Notice of Violation to the company.
What Consumers Should Do
- Stop using the Omzer infant swings immediately.
- Dispose of the swings and the lithium coin battery following local hazardous waste guidelines.
- Do not sell or donate the swings due to their safety risk.

- Always place infants to sleep on a firm, flat surface in a crib, bassinet, or play yard.
- Use only a fitted sheet—no blankets, pillows, or bumper pads.
- Infants should always sleep on their backs.
- Move sleeping babies from swings or inclined positions to a flat sleep surface immediately.
