Publix has recalled a specific batch of its GreenWise brand baby food due to concerns over elevated lead levels. The recall affects 4-ounce pouches of GreenWise Pear, Kiwi, Spinach & Pea Baby Food with a “Best If Used By” date of November 1, 2025.
The recall was announced on May 9 after routine testing indicated possible contamination. The product was manufactured by Bowman Andros and sold across all 1,404 Publix stores in eight states.
“As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted products have been removed from all store shelves,” said Maria Brous, Publix Director of Communications. She added that no illnesses have been reported so far.
Customers who purchased the recalled baby food are urged to return it to their local Publix for a full refund. For questions, consumers can call Publix at 800-242-1227.
