Health officials have announced a recall of about 7,600 TADAKAZU baby loungers due to serious safety concerns. The products violate federal safety standards for infant sleep products and may pose a risk of suffocation, entrapment, or falling, creating an unsafe sleep environment that could lead to injury or death. No injuries have been reported so far.

The recalled loungers have a cloth cover with a foam sleeping pad and padded bumpers. The brand name “TADAKAZU” appears on a tag attached to the bumpers. The loungers, also sold as “baby nests,” came in various colors and prints, including beige, pink, blue, green, and animal designs.
Safety Hazards:
The loungers fail to meet federal requirements for infant sleep products. The sides are shorter than the required minimum height, and the sleeping pad is thicker than allowed. These design flaws create a risk of suffocation. Additionally, infants could fall out through an opening at the foot of the lounger or become trapped. The loungers lack a stand, which increases the fall hazard.
What Parents Should Do:
Consumers should stop using the recalled loungers immediately. To get a refund, they should remove the sleeping pad, cut up the sides and pad, and send a photo of the destroyed product to [email protected]. TADAKAZU and Amazon are contacting all known buyers directly.
