Lidl Launches First Private-Label Meat Line to Combat Rising Grocery Prices

by daisy

Lidl, known for its no-frills approach to grocery shopping, is expanding its product range to help customers cope with rising grocery prices. With over 150 stores in nine states, the discount supermarket chain is introducing its “biggest product launch of the year so far” – a new private-label meat line called Butcher’s Specialty.

In a statement to Parade, Lidl US explained that the new line includes a variety of meats, such as USDA Choice beef, antibiotic-free chicken, organic and grass-fed beef, all-natural pork, lamb, and veal. All products are free from additives, preservatives, and shortcuts, focusing on quality and meeting consumer preferences.

The launch is part of Lidl’s effort to address the rising costs of meat nationwide. By offering private-label options, the brand aims to reduce prices for customers while improving the quality of fresh meats available in its stores.

“We’ve rebuilt our entire meat department to better serve our customers, with a more thoughtful assortment inspired by consumer preferences, popular recipes, and regional demand,” Lidl US said.
