Traveling with a baby just got easier at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, thanks to a local mom who turned a frustrating layover into an innovative solution.
Nearly nine years ago, Kelly Guerra and her family were stranded during an unexpected four-hour layover with no baby supplies left for her six-month-old daughter. “I had literally run out of everything—formula, wipes, diapers. There were no options,” she recalled.
That experience inspired Guerra to launch GoBaby, a baby supply vending machine now located in Terminal 2 next to Starbucks and the nursing lounge. It offers diapers (sizes 2–4), formula, wipes, pacifiers, onesies, snacks, and infant pain relievers.
“It just makes sense,” Guerra said. “There are vending machines for makeup, pet items—why not for baby essentials?”
Lambert Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, also a mom and grandmother, supported the idea. “Travelers have diverse needs, and it’s our job to listen and respond,” she said, noting the pandemic increased demand for self-service options.
The vending machine project, launched while Guerra works full-time at Pangalactic Digital, was made possible with support from family, friends, and coworkers. She hopes to expand GoBaby within Lambert’s Terminal 1 and to other family-friendly destinations across St. Louis.
Parents can find the GoBaby machine in Terminal 2 near Gate E29.
