Weleda Australia has issued an urgent recall of one batch of its Baby Teething Oral Powder after a piece of glass was discovered inside a bottle, posing serious health risks for infants.
The affected product — a 60g bottle from batch (B)231302 with an expiry date of 11/2026 — may contain glass fragments due to a packaging fault. No other batches are affected.
The product has been sold at major retailers including Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Harris Farm Markets, and other stores across Australia.
Health Risk
If applied to an infant’s gums, glass fragments in the powder could cause pain, mouth injury, choking, or in severe cases, internal damage to the gastrointestinal tract requiring urgent medical care.
What Consumers Should Do
- Stop using the product immediately.
- Return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.

This recall follows another alert issued days earlier by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). The Euky Bear Warm Steam Vaporiser, model EBSV2013, was pulled from shelves over a defect that could cause it to overheat and release smoke or fumes.
Consumers are urged to check product labels and stay informed on recall notices to ensure their family’s safety.
