PROVIDENCE – Employees, customers, and community members of The Washington Trust Co. joined forces last month to support the annual Children’s Book Drive organized by United Way of Rhode Island Inc. and Books Are Wings.

Throughout May, all Washington Trust branches served as collection sites. Together, they gathered more than 2,000 books for children in need. The donated books were then delivered to United Way’s headquarters in Providence.
