Zizzi is recalling its Vegan Jackfruit Pepperoni Rustica Pizza due to the possible presence of milk, which is not declared on the packaging.
The recall affects the 400g pizza with 8ml chilli oil, bearing batch code 5105 and a best before date of July 15, 2026. The presence of milk poses a potential health risk to individuals who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed the recall and stated that Zizzi has contacted relevant allergy support groups to help inform affected customers. The company has also issued point-of-sale notices in stores.
“These notices explain why the product is being recalled and what customers should do if they have purchased it,” the FSA said.
A statement from Zizzi reads: “We are recalling Zizzi Vegan Jackfruit Pepperoni Rustica Pizzas due to potential contamination with milk.”
What Consumers Should Do
Customers who have bought the affected product and are allergic or sensitive to milk are advised not to eat it. The product can be returned to the store for a full refund, with no receipt required.

Understanding Food Recalls
Food products may be withdrawn (removed from sale) or recalled (returned by customers) if they pose a health risk. The FSA issues public notices to inform consumers and local authorities about such issues.
In more serious cases, a Food Alert for Action is issued, instructing local authorities on actions to protect consumers.
