Nestlé Canada has issued a precautionary recall of specific lots of its Good Start 2 Concentrated Liquid Infant Formula. The company warns that minerals in the formula may separate and appear as black particles. If consumed, this could reduce the intake of essential nutrients for infants.
The recalled product is the Nestlé Good Start 2 Concentrate 359 ml with Omega Infant Formula, packaged in a tetra box.
Health Canada has noted reports of illnesses but has not confirmed whether they are linked to the affected formula.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product are advised to discard it and contact Nestlé Consumer Services at 416-218-2688 for reimbursement.
