Canned Shrimp Recalled in Four States Over Health Concerns

by daisy

Kawasho Foods USA Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of its 4-ounce canned GEISHA Medium Shrimp due to a potential health risk. The recall affects products sold in California, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado.

The company announced the recall on Sunday after receiving reports of cans that were swelling, leaking, or bursting. According to the statement posted on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website, these issues could mean the shrimp was underprocessed. This raises the risk of spoilage or harmful bacteria.
